Mainstreet Flower Shoppe, LLC began in 2006 in an historic building, which was built in 1890, in downtown Hiawatha at 713 Oregon Street. Kim, the Entrepreneur, with the full support of her husband, Dennis, wanted to own her own business again. Dennis and Kim Kleopfer purchased the building and remodeled it themselves in the fall of 2006 shortly before it's opening that winter for business.
A year after opening, the fresh fudge bar was added to the business, with the fudge being made fresh onsite by Kim and her employees.
In 2009 Mainstreet Flower Shoppe, LLC received an Award of Merit from the Kansas Department of Commerce in recognition of its contributions to economic development, community service and leadership in Kansas.
Customer service and satisfaction is Kim's #1 priority. We continue to bring the latest designs and quality merchandise to our business.
A personal touch of a wood burning cook stove from Kim's Great Aunt creates a warm atmosphere in the store. "Myrtle Rose" a mannequin loves to greet everyone with a little shake when visiting close to her. She has been on the job since 2008.
